Proof

Hundreds of Terramations. A Pioneering Funeral Home. The Model That Proves It Works.

You deserve more than projections and promises. You deserve proof.

The Natural Funeral in Colorado is that proof — and TerraCare is now the first terramation program with active partner installations on the East Coast. The TerraCare Partner Program was born out of our own funeral home operations and care center. We've done what every TerraCare partner will do: offered terramation directly to families, in their own facility, with their own team.

The results speak for themselves.

From First in Colorado to First in the Country.

The Natural Funeral was established in Boulder County, Colorado in 2019, originally as Boulder County's first eco-friendly funeral home.

Our team heard early that families wanted more meaningful, more environmentally responsible options. The demand was real. The traditional model wasn't meeting it.

In 2021, The Natural Funeral helped legalize NOR in Colorado and became the first and only provider of NOR in the state. The technology was new. The regulatory framework was evolving. There was no playbook and no precedent.

We built both.

Key milestones:

  1. 2019
The Natural Funeral established in Boulder County, Colorado, as Boulder County's first eco-friendly funeral home. Became the first provider of water cremation in the state.
  2. 2021
First and only terramation provider in Colorado. Operated the earliest generation of what would become the Chrysalis™ Vessel.
  3. 2024
Introduced the 4th Generation Chrysalis™ Vessel, the current generation deployed in TerraCare partner installations.
  4. 2025
Launched the TerraCare Partner Program, opening the model to funeral homes and crematories nationwide.
  5. 2026
Hundreds of terramations completed. TerraCare Partners operating in the Northeast and Southeast. National expansion underway.

The Natural Funeral didn't just test the technology. We built a funeral home around it, and proved that terramation works as a core service offering, not an experiment.

What The Natural Funeral's Experience Proves About the Market.

Research says families will choose terramation if given the option. The Natural Funeral proved it.

>20%

of all families choose terramation

Including those who walked in expecting traditional cremation.

~85%

choose eco-friendly options

The remainder select water cremation, green burial, or terramation.

15%

choose traditional flame cremation

Once families understand their options, most choose something different.

Not 20% of families who ask about eco-friendly options. Twenty percent of all families, including those who walked in expecting traditional cremation.

Think about the families you serve this year. If 20% of them chose a significantly higher-value service, one that reintroduces the participatory ceremonies and meaningful experiences that direct cremation eliminated, what does that do for your business and your team's sense of purpose?

The Natural Funeral answered that question with real data, real families, and real operations. That data is the foundation of the TerraCare Partner model.

The Natural Funeral Proved It in Colorado. You Can in Your Own Region.

The Natural Funeral's story is a proof of concept, and a competitive advantage for every TerraCare Partner who follows.

  • The demand has already been validated.

You don't need to guess whether families will choose terramation. The Natural Funeral proved it with hundreds of dispositions.

  • The operations have already been refined.

Every aspect of the TerraCare Partner system has been developed and improved through real-world operations. You're not a beta tester. You're inheriting a refined system.

  • The regulatory path has already been navigated.

The Natural Funeral worked through the licensing, zoning, and regulatory requirements of operating a terramation facility. That experience is now built into the TerraCare Partner Program.

  • The conversation framework already exists.

The 20% conversion rate didn't happen by accident. The Natural Funeral's team developed an effective, compassionate way to introduce terramation to families. That framework is part of every partner's training.

First Mover Advantage Is Real. And It's Available Right Now.

In most of the 14 states where terramation is legal, no independent funeral home is offering the service locally. Families who want it have no local provider.

That gap represents an extraordinary opportunity for the operator who moves first.

  • You define the category in your market.

When families in your region search for terramation, they find you — and only you for the immediate future.

  • You capture the referral network.

Other funeral homes in your area who don't offer terramation will refer families to you, creating a value stream from your peers rather than competition with them.

  • You attract media attention.

Local and regional media consistently cover terramation as a human-interest story. Being the first provider in your area makes you part of the story.

  • You set the standard.

The first provider in any market establishes what terramation looks like, feels like, and costs. Everyone who follows is measured against you.

The Natural Funeral was first in Colorado. That same advantage is available to you in your region.

TerraCare Partners Are Already Serving Families Beyond Colorado.

The Natural Funeral was first. But it's no longer alone.

TerraCare has signed partners now operating across the U.S., independently owned funeral businesses that evaluated the model, made the investment, and are now offering terramation to their communities.

"We completed our 50th terramation within eight months of launch. Families were ready for this — we just needed to be able to offer it."

— Partner funeral home, Pacific Northwest

These partners represent the beginning of a national network. Each one is the first in their region to offer terramation directly to families, a distinction that carries significant competitive value.

The map is filling in. The question is whether your region will have a TerraCare partner, and whether that partner will be you.

Not All Terramation Produces the Same Result.

The soil quality from a terramation process varies significantly depending on the technology, the biological protocols, and the care taken during the process. This is where The Natural Funeral's experience becomes your advantage.

TerraCare's Chrysalis™ Vessels, combined with the proprietary blend of organics and our TerraTea™ biologic catalyst, produce Regenerative Living Soil™ — a nutrient-rich, garden-ready soil that families can use immediately to grow a memorial tree, plant a flower garden, or restore land.

The difference is visible. Some other processes produce a coarser, less refined material, closer to bark mulch than garden soil. Families notice the quality when it's placed in their hands. It reflects the care of the process that produced it, and it reflects the care of the funeral home that delivered it.

The Proof Is in the Results. Now Let's Talk About Yours.

The Natural Funeral proved the model. Partners around the country are building on it. Your region is waiting.
